About Me

Hello, I'm Hector!

I consider myself a balanced graphic designer because I have both a natural artistic ability and an extended graphic design education.

I began my professional career in high school as a caricature artist (which was so much fun)! Then, while in college, I used a computer to illustrate graphics and comics for my school newspaper. Fast forward 10 years of professional design work, and I wanted to take my knowledge to the next level – so I earned a Master degree in design. That education has provided me with a solid design methodology and a clear understanding of what it means to solve complex visual problems with effective, compelling messaging. So now, on top of my full-time design job, I teach Graphic Design at the local community college and enjoy every minute of it!

“Hector and I worked together for many years on credit union marketing campaigns and videos. He is a talented graphic designer and has a unique artistic side that will make any campaign stand out. Hector was always dedicated to his work and would take the time to ensure his designs produced high-end results.”

“Hector is a pleasure to work with. He and I created numerous videos and other multimedia projects while working together at RBFCU. He has a good sense of what appeals to the end user, and is easygoing and fun to work with and film with. Hector can put his subjects at ease and will work with business partners from start to finish to make sure the appropriate end result is achieved. I highly recommend his work and enjoy having him as a teammate and collaborator.”
