PROPTALK was a project designed to bring awareness to the second language type children and young adults have delevoped from the abundant use of technology.
The book is sized 8" x 8". It was meant to be portable to fit in a kid's backpack and distributed by schools.
This spread defines the two languages described in this book. They are delineated by color and shape throughout the book.
Emoticons and emotions
This spread helps the teen translate emoticons into real grammatically-correct adjectives and emotions.

Project Description PROPTALK was a project designed to bring awareness to the second language type children and young adults have delevoped from the abundant use of technology.
Project Concept/Design Goals My goal of this project was to educate young teens about how language can affect their communication in the real world. I planned to achieve this by providing engaging materials, like a book, website and mobile app, for not only teens, but the parents and teachers to ensure they can differentiate between the child’s casual language type and the proper language type. The bright colors and shapes are light and engaging and the graphics are all familiar with the child and young teen.
